About the event
This event is Part Two of Six in a series designed to educate, discuss, unravel, deconstruct and dispel myths surrounding African spirituality focusing on the Yorùbá spiritual belief system.
African spirituality is linked to every aspect of human life, it is the nucleus of our culture and language is the driver! We can’t leave it out of the discussion on Yorùbá culture!
Now more than ever, we encourage people to understand their history, tradition and ancestral practices. Really explore them, make your own informed decisions - you may find something that speaks to you and empowers you. There is so much we don’t know and so much we can learn from!
We hope to give Africans, particularly those living in the diaspora, the opportunity to reconnect to their roots and gain access to information on their traditional knowledge systems.
This will be a safe space for everyone; those who know nothing about African (Yorùbá) spirituality, those who want to know more and those who want to share what they know.
Please, you SHOULD ask questions and respect all opinions expressed during this discussion.
Please, you SHOULD NOT be rude/hateful and/or come with the aim to promote any religion. We look forward to seeing you!
DISCLAIMER: This series is NOT to convert anyone. This is for people interesting about Yorùbá spirituality, a significant part of the Yorùbá culture.
